nice retro effect in a new camera!

KODAK Mini Shot 4 ERA 4PASS 2-in-1 Instant Camera and Photo Printer (4x4) (Black, Camera + 10 Sheets)I opened the box and was instantly transported down memory lane, as others have stated. There is just something special about a Kodak, and one that can print - on the spot - 4x4 images truly took me back. That said, the process is efficient, the image quality good (not great), the speed of image production more than adequate. The camera comes with a 10-pic cartridge and new 60 pics cost about $20 (less than film, now). The images do not emerge at iPhone camera quality and no one at Kodak or anywhere else said they would. Further, I can take imagery on my iPhone and print that imagery right here from this Kodak camera/printer. This camera is NOT iPhone quality overall - there is no focus, there is no changing the exposure time, there is no...nothing but point and shoot. Just like the days of old. I have found no way or mechanism to save images produced by the camera. Also.....just like the days of old. In business, I would use these images for the prototypical "best consumer" or "happy times" photos that do add to an experience. At $230 this is is a fine camera to have to post actual physical prints without need of a printer. I am glad I obtained this one.An STG Synergies BTN Enterprises Review!

Good nostalgic item and not too heavy to use

This is a pretty neat version of an instamatic camera. It is a little big compared to the other smaller instamatic cameras, but it not heavy. The kit come with everything you need to take pictures and print pictures. Two things to note: a) You receive only one small packet of printing paper, so note that you will have to purchase additional paper most likely through Kodak or see if you can find similar substitution at an office supply store or online; and 2) if you use the camera to take pictures, once you turn off the camera the image disappears. However, this is consistent with the idea of an instamatic camera, you take the picture, you print the picture, you enjoy the picture. One negative experience I had was that I was unable to pair my Bluetooth with the printer. I followed the instructions in downloading the app, and the camera did appear as connected but it would not print. The phone I used was a Motorola Moto 2022 Stylus model, so that could be the issue, and hopefully other phones will work and connect to Bluetooth. Overall, this is a new fun version of a nostalgic idea.
